Ballangen Camping is a family friendly campsite in Nordland with a lovely atmosphere. Located by the sea, close to several hiking trails and fishing spots. We offer a range of facilities and activities for our guests. There really is something for everyone here, whether you prefer swimming, kayaking, berry picking, hiking, fishing, or cycling. In other words, a perfect starting point regardless of whether you want to enjoy your days on site or explore the area and enjoy nature.

The pool and water slide are tempting on hot summer days, family and friends can challenge each other to a round of minigolf, and both trampolines and the football hoop are popular with the younger ones. Among the activities we can mention "dino-bikes", children's horse-riding a few days a week during the peak season, SUPs, canoes, and boats for hire. For the smallest ones, the playground and the rabbits are a great delight!

The sea surrounding the campsite offers good fishing opportunities, and along the water there is a nice beach.

From the campsite, it is only 40 km to Narvik, where a trip with the mountain lift, shopping and a museum can be tempting. Norway’s national mountain, Stetind, is not far away and the beautiful Efjord with its wonderful nature and fine fishing opportunities is close by. Skjomen Golf course is no more than 30 km from the campsite.

Ballangen and its surroundings are rich in hiking opportunities. Here you can find simple trips that the little ones can take part in, but also more demanding day trips for the physically fit.

The campsite was established in 1964 by the Wiik family and has been very successfully run by the family until 2014, when the Ravn family took over with Eilert and Sara as your hosts.

Our philosophy is to run a pleasant and family-friendly campsite with varied activities for both large and small camping guests from home and abroad.
